Using airline fare and profit data to maintain and improve aeronautical revenue streams

This session is aimed at airport managers and centers around how airline performance data can be used to increase revenues and profit

Many airports don't have access to reliable airline performance data limiting their knowledge of airline customers, RDC can provide this data through its Apex platform

Real airline/airport case studies will be discussed highlighting how the data can be used to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in airline performance

There will be examples of airports with underperforming airline networks, understanding this data gives an airport an opportunity to provide additional support in order to maintain services

There will be other examples of overperforming networks where an appreciation of this data would bring the opportunity to withdraw support, increase charges etc.

And finally, airport marketing will be covered in terms of including positive airline performance data for presentations to target airlines

How to Estimate a New Route Potential

By 2030, passenger numbers will double to reach 4 billions leading to huge opportunities, but not without risk. The recent airline bankruptcies demonstrate that growth without profit margin is not an option. As competition grows fiercer, so are the analytical tools to help "seal the deals", and technology now allows to marry industry best practices with thorough analytics. If are serious about route development, join us to understand how you can estimate market recapture and demand stimulation, to open up a world of opportunities

How will aviation deliver on its environmental commitments?

Aviation has long accepted its role in contributing to global emissions, and has actively sought to reduce and/or offset that contribution. Yet the pressure on the industry has increased, particularly from movements such as ‘flight shaming'.
New engines, new air traffic management procedures and the development of biofuels are all part of the armoury being used the airline industry to keep emissions down. This session will examine all these technologies and the politics regarding implementation. Moreover, it will feature some of those who collaborated in the May 2019 operation where every element in the flight management process was optimised to keep carbon emissions to a minimum and achieve a ‘Perfect Flight'.

From Scandinavia to the Mediterranean: The DAT Volidisicilia case study

DAT -  a well-known Scandinavian scheduled/ACMI operator, having successfully operated worldwide ever since its inception back in 1989. At the end of 2017 DAT A/S saw the opportunity for entering a new market when the Sicilian lesser islands PSO (Public Service Obligation) scheme was issued in Italy. The ban was awarded to DAT A/S in late April 2018, and in two months a brand new “Italian-Scandinavian” operation was born, DAT Volidisicilia, serving the local market with Scandinavian efficiency coupled with Italian flair and warmth in the challenging environment of the Sicilian Strait

How managed interlining can help your airline create better connections, profitable partnerships and alliances

Patrick Edmond, Commercial Solutions Advisor at Air Black Box, will discuss how to address these critical issues and also how airlines, whether full-service or low-cost, ticketed or ticketless, can expand their market footprint, develop new routes, and increase core and ancillary revenues without building in-house solutions or deploying additional IT resources.

Attendees will learn how:

- Low-cost carriers operating in a specific market can efficiently partner with a full-service carrier to gain feed traffic
- Airlines can feed their hubs by selling sectors on other airlines without losing the ability to “own” or service their customers
- Airlines can cross-sell ancillaries on their partners' flights more effectively and profitably than many alliance carriers can currently achieve.

Patrick Edmond, Commercial Solutions Advisor, Air Black Box
